# A one-week cofounder trial

An editable worksheet from CofoundAlly. This is a hypothetical exercise, not a member success story. Do not use a trial to obtain unpaid client work or promise equity you have not agreed.

## The brief

We are testing appointment software for independent clinics. One person owns customer interviews; another owns a small booking prototype. The aim is to learn whether we can define work, deliver it and review feedback together.

Replace this example with your own project. Each person records:

- The contribution they can own.
- The hours they can actually commit this week.
- The working hours they can overlap, using named time zones.
- The work they can show and the decisions they need help with.

## A small, reviewable outcome

By Friday, review a booking flow with one clear customer problem and a short list of things still untested. A prototype is sufficient; real patient data, payment processing and production systems are outside this exercise.

| Day | Activity | Evidence |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | Agree on the customer, one flow, responsibilities and available hours | A shared written brief |
| 2 | Compare what each person understood; identify the riskiest assumption | A short decision note |
| 3–4 | Build or research the agreed piece; show work early | A prototype or a redacted research summary |
| 5 | Review together and decide whether another small step makes sense | A joint review note |

## Review questions

1. Did we deliver what we agreed, or communicate clearly when we could not?
2. Could we disagree without avoiding the decision?
3. Did customer evidence change our thinking?
4. Are our hours, expectations and responsibilities compatible?
5. What should change before any longer commitment?

Discuss ownership, confidentiality, compensation and any proposed equity separately before starting. Do not put private customer records into a shared demo. Keep the review specific; an introduction or a completed trial does not establish a person's reliability in every situation.

Use your own facts to draft an introduction: “I can own [work], can commit [hours], and want to test [outcome] with someone who can contribute [skills].”
